Maths - Multiplication

P3 have been learning the concept of multiplication.

They have shown their thinking by using empty number lines, creating multiplication sums and linking their understanding through using the trio trick strategy and  playing board games.

They have also been learning the doubling strategy. You can double the 2x table to get the answers for the 4x. Also you can double the answers for the 5x table to calculate the 10x table.

They have been looking for number patterns within the tables and are beginning to understand that multiplication is the same as repeated addition.
